File Manager for Chevrolet Equinox EV, Blazer EV & Silverado EV
Chevrolet's electric vehicles run Google Built-in — Android Automotive OS embedded in the vehicle rather than projected from a phone. You get native Android apps, Play Store access, and Google Maps built in. AnExplorer serves Chevy EV owners across three use cases: family road trips, work truck media management, and commercial fleet operations.
Chevrolet EV vs Gasoline Models
The critical difference between Chevy EV and ICE models for file management:
| Model | System | AAOS | AnExplorer |
|---|---|---|---|
| Equinox EV (2024+) | Google Built-in | ✅ | Full support |
| Blazer EV (2024+) | Google Built-in | ✅ | Full support |
| Silverado EV (2024+) | Google Built-in | ✅ | Full support |
| Blazer (gasoline) | Infotainment 3 | ❌ | Not available |
| Equinox (gasoline) | Infotainment 3 | ❌ | Not available |
| Silverado (gasoline) | Infotainment 3 | ❌ | Not available |
Infotainment 3 on gasoline Chevy models is a proprietary system that projects Android Auto from your phone — it cannot run native Android apps.

Silverado EV — Work Truck File Management
The Silverado EV Work Truck is built for tradespeople and fleet operators. AnExplorer adds practical file management to the 17.7" infotainment:
Dashcam footage management: The Silverado EV records 360° surround camera footage to a USB drive in the centre console:
- Plug a USB drive into the USB-A data port
- Open AnExplorer → USB Storage — dashcam files appear in date-stamped folders
- Review incident clips directly on the 17.7" screen at the job site
- Copy insurance-relevant clips to OneDrive or Dropbox over LTE
Work document access:
- Open AnExplorer → Cloud → OneDrive (or Dropbox)
- Access delivery manifests, schematics, or inspection forms offline
- Open PDFs in-vehicle without a phone or laptop
Equinox EV — Family Road Trip Media
The Equinox EV LT/RS is a family crossover. Load entertainment before you leave:
- Open AnExplorer on your Android phone → WiFi Share
- Select downloaded movies, music playlists, or audiobooks
- On the Equinox infotainment: AnExplorer → Network → WiFi Receive
- Files land in internal storage — accessible offline on the 11" display
Pro tip: load music as FLAC for best audio quality on the Bose system in RS/Premier trims.
Fleet Operations — Multiple Chevy EVs
For fleet managers running multiple Equinox EV or Silverado EV units:
- Standardise media: pre-load identical music/podcast libraries via USB on each vehicle
- Push update packages: copy APKs or firmware files to USB, deploy across the fleet without per-vehicle internet access
- Extract duty logs: AnExplorer copies usage files from vehicle storage to USB for analysis
- SMB/NAS access: connect to a garage server over WiFi for centralised document access
Chevrolet EVs include an available built-in WiFi hotspot. AnExplorer uses this to access cloud accounts:
- Dropbox — music and media
- OneDrive — documents and photos
- Box — business storage
- Nextcloud — self-hosted option
