File Manager for GM Android Automotive
General Motors was one of the early adopters of Android Automotive OS with Google Built-in across its Chevrolet, GMC, and Cadillac brands. Vehicles equipped with Google's built-in infotainment system run the full Android Automotive OS and support native Android apps from the Google Play Store — including AnExplorer.

Manage Dashcam and USB Drive Content
GM EVs with integrated cameras can write footage to an external USB drive. AnExplorer gives you direct access:
- Open AnExplorer on the GM infotainment
- Tap USB Storage in the storage panel
- Browse dashcam event folders (usually date/time-stamped subdirectories)
- View clips directly on the car's screen
- Copy important events to Dropbox or OneDrive via the cloud sidebar
- Delete old footage to keep the USB drive from filling up
Transfer Files from Your Phone
Load music, podcasts, or audiobooks from your phone to the GM infotainment wirelessly:
- Open AnExplorer on your Android phone and tap WiFi Share
- Select the files to transfer
- On the GM infotainment, open AnExplorer → Network → WiFi Receive
- Accept the transfer
Transfer completes over the vehicle's built-in WiFi hotspot or home WiFi. Most vehicles support LTE hotspots via OnStar/Connected Services.

Driver Safety Interface
AnExplorer on Android Automotive enforces car-safe UI rules:
- Large tap targets for touch access without fine motor precision
- Driving Mode: complex operations (bulk transfers, cloud setup) are disabled when the vehicle is in motion
- Quick actions (open USB, receive from phone) remain accessible from the toolbar while parked
