USB OTG File Manager for Android
Plug a USB flash drive, SD card adaptor, or external hard drive into your Android phone via USB OTG — AnExplorer detects it instantly and gives you full read/write access without any setup.
Supported Storage Types
| Device | Filesystem | Access |
|---|---|---|
| USB flash drive | FAT32, exFAT, NTFS | Read/Write |
| SD card (via USB adaptor) | FAT32, exFAT | Read/Write |
| USB external hard drive | FAT32, NTFS, exFAT | Read/Write |
| USB card reader | Multiple cards | Read/Write |
| OTG SD card slot | FAT32, exFAT | Read/Write |
NTFS support: AnExplorer reads and writes NTFS drives on Android — no root required. Copy files to/from a Windows-formatted drive without reformatting.
What You Can Do
- Browse the USB drive like any folder — internal storage and OTG appear side-by-side
- Copy files from USB to phone in one tap
- Move files between USB and SD card directly (phone-to-drive copy, no re-download)
- Extract ZIP, RAR, 7z archives directly from USB drives
- Play music and video files directly off the USB drive via built-in Video Player and Music Player
- Open PDFs and images off the drive with built-in viewers
- Install APKs directly from USB — tap

Plug, Browse, Transfer
No app configuration needed. Android's USB OTG storage mount is handled automatically. The drive appears under USB Storage in AnExplorer's sidebar once plugged in.
Move Large Files Without Cloud
Camera backups, game OBBs, project files — move them from phone to USB drive (or vice versa) at USB 3.0 speeds with no internet and no cloud costs.
Copy Between OTG and SD Card Directly
Select files on the OTG drive → Copy → navigate to the SD card → Paste. Files move on the device without involving internal storage — ideal when internal storage is nearly full.
Use Cases
| Scenario | Flow |
|---|---|
| Back up photos to flash drive | Plug USB → copy Camera folder → safely remove |
| Move game OBBs to phone | Copy from USB → paste into /Android/obb/ |
| Play a movie from flash drive | Tap MKV on OTG drive → plays in video player |
| Transfer files between two phones | USB OTG hub or sequential copy to drive |
| Restore contacts/docs from old USB | Browse drive → copy to Downloads |
