PDF Viewer for Android
AnExplorer includes a native PDF viewer — open any PDF from local storage, SD card, USB OTG, or cloud directly inside the file manager, with no external app.
Feature-Complete Reader
Smooth Rendering
Pages render at native resolution with hardware-accelerated scrolling. Pinch-to-zoom from a full page overview to fine text, at any document size — A4, US Letter, architectural plans, wide spreadsheet exports.
Full Text Search
Tap the search icon, type any phrase — all matching instances are highlighted across the entire document with a match count. Forward/back arrows jump between results. Essential for long reports, manuals, and legal documents.
Night Mode / Dark Theme
- Light — standard white background
- Night / Invert — inverted colours for dark reading
- Sepia — warm tone for long sessions
- Auto — follows system dark mode setting
Bookmarks
Mark any page with a bookmark. Bookmarks persist between sessions — return to the exact page you left without scrolling.
Page Thumbnails
The page picker scrolls a strip of thumbnails for the whole document. Tap any to jump directly there. Useful for long documents where you know approximately where the content is.
Scroll Direction
Switch between vertical continuous scroll (web-style) and horizontal single-page (book-style) from the overflow menu.

Open From Anywhere
PDFs open in AnExplorer's viewer from any storage location: local, SD card, USB OTG drive, Network Storage share, or Cloud Storage. PDFs received via email or browser can also be opened in AnExplorer by choosing Open with → AnExplorer.
Privacy First
The PDF viewer is entirely offline. Your documents are never uploaded to any server for rendering or analysis.
