File Manager for Android Foldable
Foldable Android devices introduce a new file management challenge: dual displays, a larger unfolded canvas, and often a unique multi-window workflow. AnExplorer adapts to both folded and unfolded states, providing a compact single-pane view when closed and a full split-pane desktop layout when opened.
Current supported foldable models: Microsoft Surface Duo, Samsung Galaxy Z Fold series.

All foldable Android phones with Android 9.0 or later are compatible.
Dual-Screen File Management
When you unfold your device, AnExplorer activates its split-pane layout automatically:
- Left screen: folder tree navigation
- Right screen: file contents in the current folder
- Drag and drop: move files between panels with a single drag
- Hover preview: hover over a file with stylus or drag handle to preview
On Surface Duo specifically, AnExplorer spans across both screens using Android's dual-screen API, giving you a true two-panel file manager experience similar to the classic Midnight Commander.
Transfer Files Between Foldable and PC
Wireless transfer from folded or unfolded mode:
- Open AnExplorer and tap WiFi Share
- Select files to share — an HTTP server starts
- On your PC, visit the URL to download, or connect via FTP
Useful for quickly moving large project files, photos, or documents between your foldable device and a desktop computer.

USB OTG on Foldable Devices
Foldable phones use USB-C for charging and data. AnExplorer supports USB OTG storage via a USB-C hub:
- Plug a USB-C hub with USB-A ports into your device
- Connect a USB drive to the hub
- Open AnExplorer — the drive appears automatically as external storage
Most USB-C hubs work without additional configuration.
