App Manager for Android

AnExplorer's App Manager gives you complete control over all installed apps — beyond what stock Android Settings offers.

View All Apps

The Apps screen lists every application on your device:

  • User apps — apps you installed
  • System apps — pre-installed by the manufacturer
  • Apps on SD card — apps moved to external storage

Sort by: Name, Install date, Last updated, Size, or Package name.

Batch Uninstall

Long-press to enter multi-select mode → select as many apps as needed → Uninstall All. Remove bloatware, clean up after testing, or wipe trial apps in a single action.

Unlike tapping Settings → Apps → Uninstall for each app individually, batch uninstall handles dozens of apps without any confirmation-fatigue.

APK Backup — Every Format

Back up any installed app's APK:

  1. Tap the app → Backup APK.
  2. Choose destination — internal storage, SD card, USB OTG, or upload directly to Cloud Storage.
  3. The APK (.apk, or split-APK folder for bundle apps) is saved.

Batch backup: Select multiple apps → Backup All → all APKs collected in one folder, ready to archive or transfer.

Backed-up APKs can be:

  • Reinstalled without internet (offline install)
  • Transferred to another Android via WiFi Transfer
  • Used to roll back to a previous version
  • Stored as a safety copy before updating

APK Installer Built-In

Install APK, APKS, APKM, and XAPK files directly from the file manager — see APK Installer for all supported formats and installation details including XAPK + OBB expansion.

App Details Panel

Tap any app to see:

  • Package name (e.g. dev.dworks.apps.anexplorer)
  • Version name and code
  • Install date / last updated
  • APK size on disk
  • Data + cache size
  • Declared permissions — storage, camera, location, etc.
  • Whether it's a split APK bundle

Share APK

Long-press any app → Share APK → send via Bluetooth, email, WiFi Share, or any sharing target. Useful for sideloading on a secondary device that can't access the Play Store.

Root-Enhanced Features

With root access:

  • Uninstall system apps (bloatware removal)
  • Freeze/disable apps without uninstalling — they stop running but are recoverable
  • Move app to SD card on devices that block this via Settings
  • Silent install — no confirmation dialog

Combine with Root File Manager for system-level access, or Archive Manager to compress APK backup folders.
