Install AnExplorer on HTC Vive XR Elite
Via Viveport Store: Search for AnExplorer in Viveport.
Via ADB sideload (most common):
- Enable developer mode: Settings → System → About → tap Build Version 7 times
- Enable Wireless ADB in developer settings
- Connect ADB over WiFi:
adb connect [headset-ip]:5555 - Install:
adb install AnExplorer.apk - AnExplorer appears in your unknown sources app library

Transfer Files from Phone to Vive XR Elite
- Open AnExplorer on your Android phone → WiFi Share
- Select APKs, media, or other files
- On the headset, open AnExplorer → Network → WiFi Receive
- Accept — transfer completes at WiFi speed

Sideload Apps on Vive XR Elite
The Vive XR Elite runs standard Android, which means any Android APK can be sideloaded:
- Transfer APK to headset via WiFi or USB
- Open AnExplorer and navigate to the APK
- Tap to install — the APK installer handles Android permissions automatically
Focus 3 Support
AnExplorer also works on the HTC Vive Focus 3 (enterprise standalone headset). The Focus 3 runs Android and supports ADB sideloading. All features are identical.
