Koofr on Android with AnExplorer
Koofr is a European cloud storage service headquartered in Slovenia, notable for its ability to aggregate multiple cloud accounts into one interface — you can connect your Dropbox, Google Drive, OneDrive, and Amazon S3 accounts to Koofr and access all of them through a single WebDAV endpoint.
AnExplorer connects to Koofr via WebDAV, giving you file management access without switching apps.
How to Connect Koofr to AnExplorer
Koofr's WebDAV endpoint:
https://app.koofr.net/dav/Koofr/
In AnExplorer:
- Open AnExplorer and tap + in the sidebar
- Select WebDAV
- Server URL:
https://app.koofr.net/dav/Koofr/ - Username: your Koofr email address
- Password: a Koofr app password (not your main password — see below)
Done — Koofr appears in AnExplorer's sidebar. You can now browse, upload, and download.
Koofr App Password (Required)
Koofr requires app passwords for WebDAV access. Your main Koofr account password will not work.
Create a Koofr app password:
- Log in at app.koofr.net
- Go to Preferences → Password
- Under "App passwords", add a new app password named
AnExplorer - Copy and paste into AnExplorer's WebDAV password field
Accessing Other Clouds via Koofr
Koofr can link external cloud accounts. Once linked, they appear as sub-folders in your Koofr WebDAV:
| Connected Cloud | WebDAV Path |
|---|---|
| Your Koofr storage | https://app.koofr.net/dav/Koofr/ |
| Linked Dropbox | https://app.koofr.net/dav/Dropbox/ |
| Linked Google Drive | https://app.koofr.net/dav/Google%20Drive/ |
| Linked OneDrive | https://app.koofr.net/dav/OneDrive/ |
| Linked Amazon S3 | https://app.koofr.net/dav/Amazon%20S3/ |
This is notable because it lets AnExplorer access Google Drive files through Koofr — the only practical way to manage Google Drive files inside a file manager on Android, since AnExplorer does not have native Google Drive support. See the Google Drive guide for context.
Koofr Plans
| Plan | Storage | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Free | 10 GB | Free |
| Basic | 100 GB | ~2.50 €/month |
| Starter | 250 GB | ~4.50 €/month |
| Premium | 1 TB | ~10 €/month |
| Executive | 2.5 TB | ~25 €/month |
Linked external cloud accounts (Dropbox, etc.) don't count against Koofr's storage limit — they're passthrough connections.
Why Use Koofr Instead of Connecting Each Cloud Directly?
Koofr as a unified bridge:
- AnExplorer can natively connect Dropbox and OneDrive already, but Google Drive is not supported
- Koofr + WebDAV gives you Google Drive access from AnExplorer via the linked account path above
- One WebDAV connection can reach all your clouds through Koofr's unified namespace
Privacy angle:
- Koofr is EU-based (Slovenia), subject to GDPR
- Koofr does not have access to your linked cloud's content — they proxy requests without storing data
- 10 GB free is competitive
Troubleshooting
401 Unauthorized:
- Koofr WebDAV requires an app password — your main login password will not work
- Regenerate an app password from Preferences → Password
Linked cloud folder is empty:
- External cloud accounts must be linked in your Koofr settings before they appear via WebDAV
- Log in to
app.koofr.net→ Preferences → Linked accounts → Add account
